Abdallah Hussein Ali Eid was arrested after a fatal collision with a motorcyclist in Westminster

Abdallah Hussein Ali Eid, a 25-year-old man, was sentenced on Tuesday to seven years in prison for causing a crash that killed 38-year-old motorcyclist Nathan Philip Perreault of Huntington Beach, in Westminster.

The collision occurred at about 2 a.m. on March 8, 2025, at Beach Boulevard and McFadden Avenue, according to police. Eid initially fled from the crash, but police officers found him in the area with help from several witnesses.

Eid, a Westminster resident, pleaded guilty on Nov. 19 to felony charges including vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated without gross negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of 0.08% or more causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol and a drug while causing injury, hit and run with permanent and serious injury, and failing to stop at an accident with a hit-and-run with death.

Eid also admitted a sentencing enhancement for fleeing the scene of a vehicular manslaughter.

Eid was given credit for 568 days behind bars, which takes about a year and a half off his sentence.

Perreault left behind his wife and two daughters, Desi-17 and Hailey-3.
