O.C. Supervisor Lisa Bartlett is sponsoring free adoption of cats and other small animals at OC Animal Care for a limited time from Dec. 10 until Dec. 24. The small animals up for a free adoption include: cats, birds, bunnies, hamsters and Guinea pigs.

Supervisor Bartlett’s office is spending $30K on this adoption event after a similar one in November that led to the adoption of 544 pets.

Large dogs can also be hard to place, so the shelter has also waived fees on canines 25 pounds or larger.

The pet adoptions include:

  • Waived pet adoption fee
  • Vaccinations
  • Certificate for a free Vet exam
  • Antiparasitic treatment
  • Spay/Neuter
  • Microchip

Walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come, first-served basis as staffing allows. People looking to adopt may walk in between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. However, the shelter recommends booking an appointment by calling 714-935-6848. Pets available for adoption can be found on OCpetinfo.com.

The shelter is open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. OC Animal Care is located at 1630 Victory Rd, Tustin, CA 92782.
