Armed gang banger and felon arrested after a vehicle stop in Westminster

Police officers Campos and Contreras were working a “Golf” unit, a patrol car staffed with two officers, and made a stop of a subject who was violating the vehicle code, according to the Westminster Police Department.

During a weapons pat down they located a stolen handgun in the subjects pocket. A records check revealed the subject was a convicted felon and documented gang member.

Fun fact, both of these officers are WPD laterals,m which means they transferred to Westminster from other police departments. The WPD is still hiring.

The Westminster PD always appreciates the proactive work that their officers do to ensure a safe community.
