Nathaniel Meyers arrested by the SAPD

Earlier this week, a security officer at the OC School of the Arts reported to an SAPD Resource Officer (SRO) that a suspect pointed a firearm at him when he asked him to vacate the school parking lot, according to the SAPD.

The SRO chased the suspect who fled and discarded a backpack containing a replica firearm. With the assistance of DUKE (a police helicopter), the SAPD patrol officers and motor units set a perimeter in the area and located the suspect hiking in bushes.

Officers quickly detained him, and he was positively identified as the suspect.

Nathaniel Meyers (30) of Santa Ana was booked at the Santa Ana Jail on felony charges.
