A 58-year-old man was struck by a motorcyclist and later pronounced deceased at the scene.
On February 1, 2025, at 7:02 p.m., the Santa Ana Police Department received a call regarding a traffic collision in the area of 1000 N. Euclid Street.
Officers, along with Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), responded to the scene where they discovered that the collision involved a pedestrian and a motorcyclist.
The pedestrian, later identified as Hoang Mai Phan (58) of Garden Grove, was treated at the scene but succumbed to his injuries.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the pedestrian appeared to be walking eastbound through Euclid St. when he was struck by a motorcycle traveling southbound.
The driver of the motorcycle remained at the scene, cooperated with the investigation, and did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The Santa Ana Police Department’s Collision Investigations Unit (CIU) is investigating this incident.
