A male suspect set off an illegal mortar type firework in the area of Kensington Park Drive between The Village and Valencia Avenue, about four hours ago, according to the Tustin Police Department.

The ensuing police investigation revealed that one male suspect was involved. There were no injuries, and also no damage to any structure.

The suspect was arrested at the scene.

The Village shopping center is now open as of 5 p.m. It was closed down during the police investigation.

This sort of thing happens in Santa Ana frequently but try it in Tustin and you will end up with a criminal record.

  1. The last sentence of this article made me laugh because it’s true. You would think since the city is so hard up on money that they would be giving out fines left and right for this.
