SAUSD Parent Conference

The Santa Ana Unified School District is holding their “16th Annual Parent Conference” this Sunday, October 11, from 9 am to 3 pm, at  Godinez Fundamental High School.  A City of Santa Ana sponsored Youth EXPO will concurrently be taking place at the adjacent Centennial Park.

 16th Annual SAUSD Parent Conference and Youth Expo Set For October 11

The Combination Event Brings Together More Than 100 Agencies to Benefit Families

SANTA ANA, CA – September 23, 2009 — Parents with students in the Santa Ana Unified School District can obtain tips and skills to help their children achieve academically, and gain information about college options at the upcoming 16th Annual Parent Conference. This event will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Godinez Fundamental High School located at 3002 W. Centennial Rd., Santa Ana, CA 92704.

Parents may also take part in Youth Expo 2009, taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day at the adjacent Centennial Park. The Expo will feature a guitar concert, a Ballet Folklorico performance, rock bands, karate demonstrations, and onsite broadcasts by 97.9 FM RAZA Radio and Latino 96.3 FM.

Registration at Godinez Fundamental High School begins at 8 a.m., with workshops beginning at 9:30 a.m. Parents may take advantage of transportation to the event from various Santa Ana schools beginning at 8 a.m. as well as a continental breakfast and on-site child care services for children ages 4 to 10. The parent conference and youth expo are joint projects of SAUSD, the City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency, and Santa Ana College. The combined Parent Conference and Youth Expo 2009 will bring together more than 100 agencies offering seminars, workshops, vendor booths, opportunity drawings, entertainment and information on available community resources.
