Last night while patrolling the CSUF campus, CSUF police officers found an individual who is not affiliated with CSUF exiting Mihaylo Hall after hours.

The police officers discovered this person had five outstanding arrest warrants for sexual battery, theft, battery, and battery on a peace officer.

The suspect also had 25 throwing stars on him, which is considered a felony on a school campus. He also appeared to have some methamphetamine on him.

The CSUF police officers had originally intended to cite the suspect for trespassing, however when he was asked for his ID, the suspect threw his wallet at the officers and ran off.

The suspect apparently had five outstanding warrants that also included burglary and theft. He was later identified by the CSUF Police as Romayne Demetrice Bassingame.

Bassingame was transported to the O.C. Jail.

Most of the faculty and students at CSU Fullerton are currently on summer vacation, which often results in local transients trying to break into campus buildings at this time of the year, according to the CSUF Police.
