A wanted felon and an accomplice were arrested after they initially escaped from police in north OC

On Tuesday afternoon, a day watch patrol officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Raymond and Orangethorpe, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

The driver failed to yield, which prompted the officer to initiate a vehicle pursuit. Unfortunately, the officer lost sight of the vehicle near N. Acacia and Skyline.

Despite this setback, other officers continued to check the area and eventually found the vehicle unoccupied. While searching, they located a male walking nearby who was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked on various drug-related charges.

But wait, the diligent officers didn’t stop there…

Officers from the day shift shared the information with the night watch crew. Night watch officers followed up and located the driver of the vehicle.

He was taken into custody and booked on thirteen charges, seven of which are felonies, including drug charges, evading arrest, and probation violations, among others.
