Advisory: SAPD Investigate Non-Fatal Shooting In The Area Of Doreen Way & Edinger Avenue

Santa Ana Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting which occurred at approximately 1:30 PM in the area of Doreen Way & Edinger Avenue. The lone victim sustained a gunshot wound and has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A suspect weapon has also been recovered. As a precaution, Sepulveda Elementary School was placed on a lockdown while officers searched for the suspects. SAPD Officers cleared the school and the adjoining residential neighborhood, determining the suspects had already fled the scene. The school is no longer on lockdown and the schoolchildren have been returned to their parents.
