In early May 2024, FVPD responded to a cell phone store regarding a grand theft which had just occurred. Officers located the suspect vehicle nearby and initiated a traffic stop, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.

The driver, identified as Deangelo Dulaney (24) of Los Angeles, and the passenger, identified as Clinton Hodge (29) of Los Angeles, matched the suspect descriptions from video surveillance footage.

During a vehicle search, officers and detectives located the stolen Apple watches, Apple device accessories, several cell phones, damaged security devices (used to secure cell phones and other electronics used as demo models in cell phone stores), and burglary tools.

Dulaney and Hodge were arrested for robbery and conspiracy and booked into Orange County Jail.
Based upon the investigation, it’s believed Dulaney and Hodge are also responsible for two additional thefts from cell phone stores in Fountain Valley, as well as multiple other thefts throughout Orange County.

Anyone with additional information regarding this theft series is encouraged to contact the FVPD Investigations Bureau at 714-593-4485.
