Transient camp cleared out of a flood control channel at the Santa Ana River

O.C. Sheriff’s North Patrol deputies contacted 7 individuals, made 5 arrests, and issued citations and warnings for motorized scooters at the Santa Ana River Trail on Sunday.

Crews from OC Public Works helped to clear transient encampments and debris from a major flood control channel in preparation for the upcoming rain.

The OCTA allowed the deputies to use their Santa Ana base as their staging area for the operation.

The OC Sheriff reminds O.C. residents and transients to stay clear of the flood control channels htis week as rain is expected by this Wednesday.
