The Westminster Police arrested an armed wanted felon after he tried to run away

Early this morning, police officers Contreras and Campos, located a vehicle that was registered to someone who had outstanding felony warrants, according to the Westminster Police Department.

This sneaky police duo was able to keep an eye on the car and waited for it to leave.

Once the vehicle pulled over, the driver, who is on parole tried getting away on foot but didn’t get far with the 6’5 Officer Contreras on his heels.

As Contreras caught up with the suspect, he decided to throw his unregistered handgun away.

Luckily, both the driver, passenger and unregistered firearm were captured and returned to their proper locations. They now get will get a free room at the OC Jail.
