Here is the bad news regarding Saddleback High School:

Note in the graphic below that the Saddleback students are 46.6 points below the State standard on English Language Arts (reading and writing), and over 100 points below the State standard on Mathematics. Less than half of the students in the Saddleback High School English Learner classification are making progress. Only 34% of the students are at all prepared for College or a Career, and that figure actually declined by 8.8% in 2024.

  1. Yeah exactly, how about focusing on their piss poor student literacy rates and rapidly declining enrollment numbers instead?

      1. YES! OK one last post (these are all me posting stream of consciousness lol) just because this is such an important topic. Let’s look again at the graphics the state provided. Just to show how usuriously they actually take this problem, the state uses euphemistic color coding. It’s not “Red” it’s “FAILING”!!!! How can we expect these people to solve the problem if they refuse to even identify it! California politicians have deprived my generation of the education needed to get out of poverty, then saddled them with unmanageable debt, and created a world where we can’t even afford a place to live– while they attend gala luncheons and build up their real estate portfolios. It is absolutely scandalous! Vote these people out!

  2. Oh and of course. The usual suspects, Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKS, and IHSS, will be on site soliciting enrollments– rather than the state focusing on, say, lowering cost of housing. The whole system is rotten to the core.
