The Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education on Sept. 8, 2020 appointed Dr. Lorraine Perez as deputy superintendent of educational services, and Amanda Corridan as deputy superintendent of administrative services.

Perez began her career in 2003 as a teacher with the Baldwin Park Unified School District. From 2008 to 2009, she was an assistant principal/principal with the Fontana Unified School District. From 2009 to 2014, she was a principal with the Baldwin Park Unified School District; from 2013 to 2019 she was an adjunct professor at the University of La Verne. From 2014 to 2017, she was the coordinator for elementary instruction; from 2017 to 2018 she was the director of elementary instruction and from 2018 to present, she has been the assistant superintendent of student services and educational services with the San Bernardino City Unified School District.

Corridan began her career in 1996 as a teacher with the Colton-Joint Unified School District. From 2000 to 2002, she was a teacher with the Riverside Unified School District; from 2002 to 2008 she was an assistant principal; from 2008 to 2011 she was a coordinator of student services and child welfare and attendance; from 2011 to 2014 she was the coordinator of elementary instruction; from 2014 to 2016 she was the director of student services – all with the Colton-Joint Unified School District. From 2012 to present, she has been an adjunct professor with Concordia University and from 2016 to present, Corridan has been the assistant superintendent of student services with the Colton-Joint Unified School District.

Both will join Superintendent Jerry Almendarez’ team helping lead the county’s second largest district with more than 47,000 students and 56 schools.
