SAPD officers responded to a traffic collision near Taft Elementary School. The suspect vehicle drove onto the sidewalk striking 3 children. The children were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.

Investigation revealed the suspect had trespassed into Taft Elementary just before the collision and was escorted off campus.

During the search of the suspects vehicle, a suspicious incendiary device was located.

OC Bomb Squad was requested and during their search of the vehicle, 3 additional incendiary devices were located. The campus was cleared and has resumed its normal schedule.
