The SAPD announced that they have arrested Nicolas Mercado, a 38-year-old man wanted for domestic violence and sexual assault.
On May 16, 2024, Nicolas physically assaulted his ex-girlfriend, causing multiple visible injuries. During the physical altercation, he also strangled before fleeing their residence and evading police contact.
Nicolas is wanted for a separate case regarding a sexual assault with a different victim.
