The Orange Police arrested an armed suspect who shot at police officers

A scary situation in Orange was resolved when a suspect was apprehended in the area of Park Lane and Del Mar Avenue last night, according to the Orange Police Department.

Officers were actively looking for an armed male suspect in the area of Highland Street and Del Mar Avenue. The suspect had fired rounds towards the officers.

Fortunately the suspect had bad aim as no officers were struck by gunfire or injured.

During the search for teh suspect the Orange Police advised residents to avoid the area.

Video showed officers responding to the call had blocked an intersection on the 2000 block of North Tustin Street around 7:15 p.m., according to KTLA.

The investigation in ongoing.

The Orange Police have not yet identified the suspect or what his motive was.
