Orange County, Calif. (August 22, 2025) – Orange County Rescue Mission (OCRM) is urgently calling on the community to help replenish its inventory of diapers and baby essentials, which are critically needed to support homeless families with young children across Orange County.
The greatest needs at this time include:
- Diapers – Sizes 4, 5, and 6 (with the greatest need for size 6)
- Pull-up Diapers – All sizes (with the greatest need for 2T/3T and 4T/5T)
- Baby Wipes
These essential supplies are used daily at Village of Hope, OCRM’s transitional living facility in Tustin, and across its network of campuses serving homeless families, veterans, and individuals in crisis.
According to the 2024 Point-in-Time Count, homelessness in Orange County has risen by 28% since 2022, with more than 7,300 people experiencing homelessness, including families with children. The sharp increase underscores the urgent demand for essential resources to sustain families as they work toward stability and independence.
“Diapers and wipes are not only necessities, they are lifelines for parents working to rebuild their lives,” says Bryan Crain, president of Orange County Rescue Mission. “For families who come to us in crisis, providing these basic items allows them to focus on healing, employment, and long-term housing stability.”
OCRM is urgently requesting donations of baby wipes and diapers to sustain its programs throughout 2025. Community members who are able to donate are asked to contribute any of the above items.
Donations may be dropped off at Orange County Rescue Mission’s Village of Hope, located at 1 Hope Drive in Tustin, California, 92782. Donations can also be ordered online and delivered to Village of Hope. The donation warehouse is open every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
