Yesterday, an Irvine police officer stopped a van for a traffic violation. Turned out the driver had a loaded gun and narcotics.

The driver was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail on multiple charges, including possessing a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm and multiple narcotics violations.

During the investigation, the man’s four-year-old son was found hiding under a bench seat. Child Protective Services was notified of the incident, and the child was released to his mom.
