Late Sunday night, while on patrol checks of apartment complexes, an irvine police officer stopped a pick-up truck for a traffic violation as it exited the underground parking structure.

During the contact with the driver and passenger, a substantial amount of methamphetamine, Xanax bars, cocaine, fentanyl, and items consistent with drug sales were found inside the vehicle.

Both the driver and his passenger were arrested for multiple violations.
