On Monday morning, at about 11 a.m., Costa Mesa police officers attempted to pull over the vehicle of a driver with a felony warrant.

A pursuit ensued and entered Huntington Beach at moderate speeds while OC Sheriff Department’s helicopter, Duke 1, kept an eye on the pursuit from above.

Huntington Beach Police Department police officers assisted by taking over and effectively ending the pursuit with a PIT maneuver about 25 minutes later.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Costa Mesa Jail on felony evading and felony warrant for assault on a peace officer.

There were no injuries to anyone related to this incident.

Officials did not release the identity of the suspect.
