The City of Santa Ana Planning Division is hosting two remaining General Plan Community Workshops to discuss land use concepts being considered in key areas of the City.

These land use concepts will help ensure that future development within the City reflects the vision of the Santa Ana community, including the General Plan core values of Sustainability, Health, Equity, Culture and Education. The two remaining General Plan land use workshops are scheduled for the following Focus Areas:

• 55 FREEWAY/ DYER ROAD – Monday, April 29th – 4:00 pm at the Holiday Inn-Santa Ana OC Airport, 2726 South Grand Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705
• SOUTH BRISTOL STREET – Tuesday, April 30th – 6:00 pm at the South Coast Global Medical Center, 2701 South Bristol Street, Santa Ana, CA 92704

The Santa Ana General Plan creates the foundation for the future growth of Santa Ana. These workshops will focus on key development corridors linking investments in high quality transit corridors and light rail to promote sustainable development. The City has identified five key areas for potential urban and transit-oriented mixed-use development opportunities, including new housing options, intended to encourage pedestrian, bicycle, and transit travel to reduce vehicle emissions. These efforts will ultimately lead to a new Land Use Plan to be adopted into Santa Ana’s General Plan Update.

All are invited to help shape the future of our community by attending an upcoming Workshop and by taking a Community Land Use Survey at www.santa-ana.org/general-plan. The public can also provide ideas by email at newgeneralplan@santa-ana.org. For more information contact: Melanie McCann, Senior Planner at 714.667.2746
