Community: City Of Santa Ana Down Payment Assistance Loan Program/ Préstamo de Asistencia Para Pago Inicial de Casa

The City of Santa Ana is pleased to announce an update to the Down Payment Assistance Loan Program that provides special financing to purchase your first home. The Program offers zero percent, deferred payment loans of up to $80,000 for Low Income Households and up to $40,000 for Moderate Income Households. In addition, the new “Returning Student Incentive” offers $10,000 in loan forgiveness every five years up to $40,000 maximum loan forgiveness to 4-year college graduates who graduated from a high school located in Santa Ana.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a resident of Santa Ana and/or work in Santa Ana at least 32 hours per week for at least the last 6 months (except U.S. military veterans)
  • Must be pre-qualified for a first mortgage from a private lender
  • Must be a first time homebuyer (a person with no ownership interest in, or who has not held ‘title’ to a principal residence during the three-year period preceding the purchase of the
    property)
  • Must be able to make a down payment of at least 3% from buyer’s own funds
  • Must complete the 8-hour Homebuyer Counseling Program offered by a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency
  • Home must be located in the City of Santa Ana
  • Total Annual Income of the household cannot exceed the current
    income limits below:

The next quarterly Homebuyer Informational Workshop will also be held at the City of Santa Ana Council Chambers (22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA) on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM.

The City of Santa Ana, in collaboration with the Delhi Center and NeighborWorks of Orange County will also be hosting a free Homebuyer Fair on June 23, 2018 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at the Delhi Center. Key information on various down payment assistance programs, credit and preparing for homeownership will be provided.

Nuevos Cambios al Programa de Préstamo de Asistencia

Para Pago Inicial de La Ciudad de Santa Ana

La Ciudad de Santa Ana se complace en anunciar nuevos cambios del Programa de Préstamo de Asistencia para el Pago Inicial que brinda financiamiento especial para comprar su primera vivienda. El Programa ofrece una tasa de interés del cero por ciento, préstamos de pago diferido de hasta $ 80,000 para Hogares de Bajos Ingresos y hasta $ 40,000 para Hogares de Ingresos Moderados. Además, el nuevo ” Returning Student Incentive” ofrece $ 10,000 en préstamo perdonable cada cinco años hasta un máximo de $ 40,000 para graduados universitarios que se graduaron de una high school ubicada en Santa Ana.

Requisitos de elegibilidad
• Debe ser residente de Santa Ana y/o trabajar en Santa Ana por lo
menos 32 horas por semana durante los últimos 6 meses
(excepto veteranos militares de los EE. UU.)
• Debe ser precalificado para una primera hipoteca de un
prestamista privado
• Debe ser un comprador de vivienda por primera vez (una persona

compra de la propiedad)
• El comprador debe ser capaz de hacer un anticipo de al menos el
3% de su propios fondos
• Debe completar el Programa de Asesoramiento para
Compradores de Casa de 8 horas ofrecido por una Agencia de
Asesoramiento de Vivienda Aprobada por HUD
• El hogar debe estar ubicado en la ciudad de Santa Ana
• El ingreso anual total del hogar no puede exceder los límites de
