Police officers assigned to the AB 109 Task Force were conducting proactive enforcement in the area of 1700 E. Dyer Rd. when they observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by two subjects, according to the SAPD.

AB 109 and Directed Enforcement Officers contacted a female driver and male passenger with their 1-year-old child who was in the back seat.

During a search of the vehicle, approximately 43 pounds of methamphetamine were concealed in the trunk.

Both subjects were arrested for felony narcotics and child endangerment charges.
