Community: Santa Ana to Release $769k in Community Development Block Grant Funding for Nonprofits

The City of Santa Ana will release an estimated $769,151 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to Nonprofits for the provision of public services.

The City receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address a wide range of unique community development needs.

For fiscal year 2017-18, the allocation of funds will be directed to Nonprofit programs with an emphasis on crime prevention, intervention, and/or suppression efforts for children, youth and/or families.

Programs will be funded from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

CDBG application period and outreach efforts started on February 8, 2017.

APPLICANTS MUST ATTEND A MANDATORY CDBG WORKSHOP

Workshops will be held at City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Ross Annex, Room 1600, on the following dates:

  • 2/16/17 from 2:00pm
  • 2/23/17 from 9:00am
  • 2/28/17 from 9:00am

CDBG APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MARCH 8, 2017 BY 5:00PM
