S.A. High School’s Wrestling Team wants to sell you some fireworks

Santa Ana High School’s Wrestling Team is selling fireworks once more for the 4th of July.  This is their annual fundraiser and they really need the money to buy wrestling uniforms & shoes, pay tournament fees and travelling expenses for county & state competitions.

WHERE: Fairview & McArthur, SA (across Calvary Chapel HS)
WHEN: July 1st, 12 pm-10 pm / July 2nd & 3rd, 9 am-10 pm / July 4th, 9 am-8 pm

The Saints have a total of 11 CIF titles and 8 runner-up finishes. As of the 2008-2009 season, the Saints have compiled an overall meet record of 312 wins and 57 losses. They have 23 individual CIF champions, 48 state qualifiers and 15 state place winners and 2 national champions.

Our Editor, Art Pedroza, worked at the O.C. Register and the OC Weekly and studied journalism at CSUF and UCI. He has lived in Santa Ana for over 30 years and has served on several city and county commissions. When he is not writing or editing Pedroza specializes in risk control and occupational safety.
