Police officers in north OC seized a stolen rifle from a DUI suspect after a pursuit

Police officers responded to a call of an individual possibly driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the area of Knott and La Palma, according to the Buena Park Police Department.

The vehicle was located and a traffic stop conducted. During the investigation, the police officers discovered the front passenger had a loaded rifle between his legs.

The police officers safely detained all of the occupants of the vehicle. The rifle turned out to have been stolen and high capacity magazines were also located.

Officers also determined the suspects were using nitrous oxide inside the vehicle prior to the stop. Two adults were arrested and taken to Orange County Jail. A juvenile was also arrested.
