Israel Parra Ruiz, 60-years-old, was selling flowers in Santa Ana on May 10 when a man ran up and grabbed a bucket filled with bouquets of flowers. The man ran into an SUV and got away as Ruiz ran after it as captured in a dashcam video.

Hundreds of people in Santa Ana have rallied together to help a beloved street vendor regroup after he was robbed just days before Mother’s Day.

Ruiz and his daughter Kenia were working hard selling Mother’s Day bouquets when the suspect stole about $260 worth of flowers.

Ruiz has disabilities and he sells the flowers as his main income. Sadly this is not the first time he has been robbed around the Mother’s Day season.

Jeydi Delalanza, a witness to the theft, was able to track down the video of the theft which was captured on a nearby worker’s car dashcam. While she did not know Ruiz she often saw him working hard to make a living selling the bouquets. Delalanza ended up creating a GoFundMe account to help Ruiz and that account has now raised over $10,000 from 450 kind hearted people.
