Ontario man arrested after burglarizing an Irvine construction site and trying to sell the equipment online

Recently, police detectives dove headfirst into a burglary case in which expensive pool equipment was stolen from a construction site, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The equipment was found for sale on OfferUp.

After pooling the Irvine Police Department’s resources, they “offered up” and arranged to meet with the seller.

Yesterday, the Irvine police team floated up to Ontario to meet with the seller.

Guy Cognet, 47, was arrested and booked at the Orange County Jail on grand theft and burglary charges.

During the investigation, additional stolen property was recovered.
