On May 8, 2024, an deputy assigned to the Orange County Sheriff’s Highway Interdiction Team, pulled over a vehicle, on the 5 Freeway, for violating a California Vehicle Code, according to the O.C. Sheriff.

When the deputy approached the driver, he noticed that the driver seemed nervous.

After talking for a few minutes, the driver admitted to having narcotics in the trunk of the car.

He was not kidding! Upon searching the trunk, the deputy found 85 pounds of “M30” fentanyl pills, which amounted to approximately 390,000 pills, concealed in a trash bag.

The driver was taken into custody and booked into jail.
