Juvenile arrested after making an online threat against Columbus Tustin Middle School

Yesterday, at approximately 3:27p.m., Tustin Police School Resource Officers were notified by staff of Columbus Tustin Middle School, located at 17952 Beneta Way, of threats being circulated via a social media account. Officers and detectives immediately responded to the school and began investigating the incident.

Investigators were able to quickly track down the source of the social media account and, at approximately 1915 hours, a juvenile suspect was taken into custody.

This investigation is ongoing, however, there is no known ongoing threat to students, staff, or the public. As a precaution, there will be an increased police presence throughout the day.
