Homeless Santa Ana commercial burglar arrested by the O.C. Sheriff

SAPD wanted theft suspect Jason Ray Sentz, age 43, was taken into custody this past weekend thanks to the O.C. Sheriff’s Department.

The SAPD appreciates their collaboration and continued partnership with the O.C. Sheriff’s Department.

Sentz was wanted for a commercial robbery that occurred at 413 W. 17th St., where he forced entry into a commercial building and stole copper wiring, causing a loss of approximately $15,000 to the business owner.

Sentz is homeless and he is known to frequent the area of 1st Street and Main Street.

Jason Ray Sentz, if convicted for the commercial burglary involving copper wire theft, could face the following penalties under California law:

Charge: Commercial Burglary (Penal Code § 459 PC)

This is considered second-degree burglary, which applies to non-residential structures like businesses.
