Starting Off Right: New & Emerging Nonprofit

Did you know the IRS is making it a lot easier (and cheaper!) to launch a nonprofit?

OneOC’s annual  “Starting Off Right” session is February 19th. We answer questions and outline the critical steps to starting a nonprofit. If people come to you about how, we hope you’ll send them to “Starting Off Right”.

Saturday, February 19, 8:30am-2:30pm

Do you have a passion for a cause that you believe would best be served as a public charity?

Forming a nonprofit 501c3 in California is not as easy as you may think – attend this session and come away with an understanding of the critical steps involved.

Do you know what steps you need to take to incorporate?

Have you assembled a Board of Directors? Defined their roles?

Do you have a concise mission statement that drives your work?

Have you created a business plan that will help you fulfill your mission?

Do you understand the laws and strategies of fundraising?

This workshop addresses these issues and shows you the essential information you need to apply for nonprofit incorporation and tax exempt status and to launch a successful venture. Bring your questions and we’ll build the agenda around today’s specific challenges.

Saturday, February 19 at 8:30am – 2:30pm
