A man with a walker was killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing a street, late Saturday night, August 9, 2025, according to County News Services.
The collision involving a man with a blue walker was reported at the intersection of West Main and A streets at around 11:17 p.m.
The man has been identified now as the father of Nelly Flores, who has launched a GoFundMe page to help with funeral and memorial costs. The family is also looking to hire an investigator to help track down the driver in question.
According to Flores, her father was critically injured. The responding paramedics initiated CPR using a LUCAS CPR device before rushing him to OC Global Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
There are reports suggesting that the victim was crossing the street with his walker when a eastbound vehicle struck him.
