Calacas Calls for Entry

“El Centro Cultural de Mexico and Calacas are seeking those interested in creating altars for the annual Noche de Altares, a free community event organized by local volunteers,” according to the O.C. Register.

The 7th Annual Día de los Muertos Celebration will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2009, from 2pm to 10pm, at the  Fiesta Marketplace, which is located at the corner of Bush and 3rd., in downtown Santa Ana.  You can read about that event by clicking here.

Loteria

Calacas is also hosting a “Loteria” or lotter, fundraiser this Friday, 9/25/09, at $7 pm.  You can play all night for $5!  There will be drinks and food.  The fundraiser will be at Calacas, located at 324 W. 4th St., Suite B, in downtown Santa Ana.
