Yesterday, within three hours, Huntington Beach police officers responded to three separate traffic collisions, resulting in three DUI arrests following comprehensive field sobriety tests, as the HBPD reported on Facebook.

In the first incident, a solo vehicle rolled over, leading to the arrest of the driver, who is on probation and has a prior DUI conviction.

The second incident involved a driver who fell asleep behind the wheel.

The third incident revealed a driver was operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, a violation stemming from a prior conviction.

The HBPD has said it before, and they will repeat it again: driving impaired is a real threat to our community and is 100% preventable. Even minimal amounts of alcohol, medication, or other substances can drastically compromise your driving capabilities. Please, don’t drive impaired. Appoint a designated driver or utilize ride-sharing services when you plan on drinking or engaging in other activities that could impair your ability to drive safely.
