On April 1, 2023, a female suspect took a victim’s wallet from an unlocked vehicle at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Martin Avenue at approximately 9:00 p.m.

The victim’s credit cards were then used at a local Walmart to make fraudulent purchases.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mena at 949-724-7124 or amena@cityofirvine.org.

Crime prevention tips:

  • Lock your vehicle and remove all valuables
  • Park in a well lit area or where there are surveillance cameras
  • If you have a garage and use it as a storage unit, consider cleaning it out so you can park your vehicle in there
