Earlier this month, the Costa Mesa Police Department’s Gang Unit conducted an investigation leading to a judge issuing a search warrant for a residence in the 1800 block of Placentia Avenue.

The Gang Unit served the search warrant and located a loaded Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun.

A record check of the handgun serial number determined it was reported stolen in the state of Missouri in 2021.

The Gang Unit arrested the suspect on multiple charges related to possession of the stolen handgun.
