OCFA firefighters were able to quickly contain a two-alarm fire last night at the 2400 block of South Birch St., in Santa Ana. This was at a commercial building that appears to be vacant.

County News reported that the arriving fire crews found heavy smoke and fire showing from the roof of the large 20,000 square foot building and called for backup which brought about 50 firefighters to the scene. This allowed the firefighters to put out the flames in about a half hour.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

There are also no reports yet as to the damage caused by the blaze.
