On Sunday, September 5th, a woman parked her vehicle at the Spectrum, in Irvine, and shopped at the Apple store. After buying a laptop, she returned to her car and stored the purchase in her vehicle.

A male suspect smashed the window of the victim’s car and took the computer. He left in the pictured vehicle.

If you know this thief, please email vchang@cityofirvine.org.

There has been an increase in these types of theft from Apple and other high-end stores. The Irvine Police Dept. warns that if you make an expensive purchase, do not store the items in your parked vehicle. Be aware of your surroundings and ensure thieves do not follow you. Drive straight home from the store and avoid stopping at other locations.
