Two murder suspects arrested for the death of a man found at an Anaheim motel room

ANAHEIM, Calif. (February 6, 2025) – Anaheim Police detectives have arrested two suspects after a man was found deceased in a motel room.

On Monday, February 3, 2025, around 10:15 a.m., Anaheim Police officers responded to the Akua Motor Inn, located at 1018 E Orangethorpe Ave. regarding a person who was found deceased inside a motel room. Officers arrived and found the 63-year-old male victim with obvious signs of traumatic injury. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and started their investigation. Within days, they identified two adults as suspects. On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, both suspects were arrested and taken into custody for murder. The suspects have been identified as 44-year-old Manuel Ramos, a Santa Ana resident, and 28-year-old Matthew Kundrat, a transient. There are no outstanding suspects.

The victim’s identification is withheld pending confirmation from the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s office.
