Metrolink train tracks were closed this afternoon between Orange and Santa Ana due to train 664 striking a person on the tracks, according to Metrolink’s Twitter account.

The incident happened about 3 pm today. The injured person later died, according to CBS.

One of our readers saw a heavy police presence at the train tracks at 17th and Lincoln at about 5 p.m. It is possible that this was related to the Metrolink incident.

Metrolink said impacted customers can redeem an Uber voucher at https://vouchers.uber.com/c/r_YLxRkq8whw.
