Advisory: Detectives Investigating Homicide 600 Block East Chestnut Ave.

Victim: Identification Pending Notification

On April 15, 2017 at approximately 2:10 a.m. the Santa Ana Police Department received reports of a man down on the sidewalk at 621 E. Chestnut Avenue.

Officers arrived and found a 19 year-old male victim of a gunshot wound. Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and determined the case to be gang-related.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call SAPD homicide detectives at (714) 245-8390, or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS. This case is also eligible for anyone with information regarding this murder to receive up to $50,000 through the City of Santa Ana’s Gang Homicide Reward Program.
