An unidentified man, age 41, died after losing control of his motorcycle at Chapman Ave. and Loraleen Street in Garden Grove on Tuesday night, Feb. 1.

The victim is thought to have been speeding as he progressed westbound on Chapman approaching Loraleen Street at about 7:20 p.m., according to the Garden Grove Police. The victim then lost control of his motorcycle and he ended up landing in oncoming traffic. He was then struck by another vehicle.

The victim’s identity was not made public by the police as they are still in the process of notifying his relatives.

The police are waiting for toxicology results to determine if alcohol or drugs factored into the crash but at this time they don’t believe the driver was inebriated.

The police also stated that the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim did stop and he cooperated with the police investigators.
