A hit and run driver killed a pedestrian in Westminster on Monday night

A victim was crossing in an unmarked crosswalk when a suspect vehicle was going eastbound in the number one lane and collided with the victim, on Oct. 21 at 10:18 p.m., according to the Westminster Police Department.

The vehicle kept driving eastbound on Westminster Blvd and did not stop to check on the victim. The victim was pronounced deceased as a result of the collision, which occurred at Westminster Blvd. and Yockey St.

The suspect vehicle was a black 2018-22 Lexus Coupe, which is expeted to have significant front-end damage.

The victim’s name has not yet been released pending notification of the victim’s family.
