Earlier this week, an Irvine police officer stopped a vehicle after the driver ran a red light. A marijuana container was in clear view, and the officer suspected the driver was possibly under the influence.
A loaded, unserialized gun was found inside the vehicle during the investigation.
The male driver and female passenger were transported to the station for booking
