On Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 2:56 a.m., Santa Ana Police officers responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Bristol Street and Segerstrom Avenue involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
Orange County Fire Authority also responded to the scene and pronounced the female motorcyclist deceased.
Based on the preliminary investigation, both vehicles were traveling northbound on Bristol St. at Segerstrom Ave. when the vehicle rear-ended the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from her seat and located down in the middle of the intersection.
The male driver of the vehicle stopped at a gas station at the corner of the intersection where police made contact. Officers determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for DUI.
The victim was later identified as Flor Mecon Granados 44-years-old, of Santa Ana.
