On April 4, 2024, a motorcycle police officer was involved in a traffic collision after a driver suddenly turned in front of the officer, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

The Fullerton Police posted a video of the incident here.

Upon colliding with the sedan, the officer was thrown over the vehicle and knocked unconscious. The officer was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Thankfully, the officer is expected to make a full recovery and has since returned to work on light duty.

May is Motorcycle Safety Month, and the Fullerton Police Department reminds drivers to always look twice for motorcycles. Safe riding and driving practices and shared responsibility from all road users will help everyone reach their destination safely.

Share the road, be safe, and be alert.
