Yesterday morning, Orange County Sheriff deputies responded to a report of a disruptive neighbor possibly under the influence of illegal substances, according to Laguna Hills Police Services.
Upon contact, the deputies discovered the individual had an outstanding warrant. Perhaps he should have avoided acting up?
The subject was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail.

Here are the penalties the arrested suspect may now face, depending on several factors:
- Outstanding Warrant
- If the warrant was for a misdemeanor: up to 1 year in county jail and/or fines.
- If the warrant was for a felony: penalties vary widely, potentially including multiple years in state prison.
- Disorderly Conduct or Public Intoxication
- If the suspect was under the influence in public and causing a disturbance, they could be charged with disorderly conduct or public intoxication.
- Penalty: typically a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 6 months in jail and/or fines.
- Possession of Illegal Substances (if confirmed)
- Misdemeanor possession: up to 1 year in county jail and up to $1,000 in fines.
- Felony possession (if prior convictions or large quantity): 16 months, 2 years, or 3 years in jail and up to $10,000 in fines.
- Probation Violation (if applicable)
- If the suspect was already on probation, any new offense or drug use could trigger a probation violation.
- Penalty: revocation of probation, additional jail time, and loss of eligibility for diversion programs.
- Transport to Orange County Jail
- The suspect will be booked and held pending arraignment. If the warrant is serious, bail may be denied or set high.
